For this job, please submit a villain character from capcom, shonen jump or both. Please submit the character, explain a bit about how they would fight, and why they should be in this game.
I'm assuming that we're allowed to submit one from each - correct me if I'm wrong.

Shonen Jump: Raoh (Fist of the North Star)



The adopted older brother of Kenshiro, also known as Ken-Oh (King of Fists). Raoh is someone who seeks to bring order to the nuclear wasteland by any means necessary, earning the nickname "The Conqueror of Century's End". With the desire to become the strongest, and a mastery of Hokuto Shinken the likes of which hasn't been seen in over a thousand years, Raoh is ruthless towards most people, only showing a well-hidden soft side to those he cares about (his biological brother Toki, along with Yuria and eventually Kenshiro), and is a more complicated character than he appears to be at first glance.

Raoh is very much someone who fights with brute force and overwhelming power. He's a mountain of a man (nearly seven feet tall, though often drawn larger), and is one of the few fighters in Fist of the North Star who can use ki energy to create ranged blasts. In addition, he eventually unlocks the hidden technique Muso Tensei, rendering him untouchable, though this would likely just be a special move like it is in some video games.

Raoh has appeared in numerous video games, like the Arc System Works fighting game, J Stars Victory Versus, the Dynasty Warriors spin-off, the Yakuza spin-off, and Jump Ultimate Stars, so there's no shortage of material to work with.

Capcom: Vergil (Devil May Cry)



Clearly, I've got a theme going here, because Vergil is Dante's twin brother who has cast aside his humanity and craves more power, no matter what the cost is to the world. In contrast to Dante, who's wacky and fights with countless different weapons, Vergil takes himself completely seriously and almost entirely relies on Yamato, the sword that he inherited from their father Sparda.

There's plenty of material to draw from when it comes to including Vergil in a fighting game. He was in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, which is already a solid base, and he's also playable in the special editions of Devil May Cry 3, 4, and 5. (here's his DMC4 moveset) He tends to fight with iaijutsu, or a quick-draw style, either hitting his enemies with his sheathed sword, or quickly drawing it from the sheathe, usually faster than the eye can follow. Yamato can somehow cut through space itself, allowing for long distance slashes, and in case his normal levels of power aren't enough, he can transform into a demonic state using Devil Trigger.

Shonen Jump villain: Meruem (Hunter x Hunter)

Meruem is the Chimera Ant King and the main antagonist of Hunter x Hunter's acclaimed Chimera Ant arc. Being a Chimera Ant, he has traits of several living creatures that were consumed by his mother, the queen. That includes human intelligence and and a tail so sharp that it can instantly explode a head on contact, and the ability to use Nen, and he falls into the specialist category. His special ability is to become stronger by consuming strong opponents, which could be translated by giving him a mechanic that would increase his attack power every time he KOs an opponent (that might be a bit OP).
Additionally, after a near death experience, he gets resurrected by two of his royal guards, Youpi and Pouf, and gains their abilities, which include transformation and NEN EXPLOSIONS. It should be mentioned that Meruem is also extremely strong.
Meruem may not be the most iconic HxH villain, but he's a beloved one nonetheless - his character arc of embracing his humanity for love is one of the most critically acclaimed aspects of the Chimera Ant arc, and he would make complete sense (although I do think the protagonists, Gon and Killua, should be included as well)

I don't have a Capcom submission, unfortunately.

My submissions:

Gaara (Naruto)

He’s typically portrayed as a hero but it wasn’t always that way. He was a villain in the original series before he got the ol’ talk no jutsu from naruto. Reformed villains are allowed and so I’m submitting him.
Anyways Gaara is a character that’s pretty popular and iconic to the series, especially given his design. He also has a really unique fighting style, given he attacks with sand and can use the One Tailed Beast for attacks. I imagine he would be a zoner and good for mixups.

Juri (Street Fighter)

A fairly recent (as far as videogames go) villain, juri has earned a reputation as one of the most iconic and popular characters from street fighter 4, and had returned in a lot of crossovers like project x zone or smash. She hasn’t really had a proper playable appearance in a crossover fighting game except for street fighter x tekken but that’s street fighter x tekken so she’s long overdue for an appearence like this. She would fight the same way she does in the street fighter games.

Capcom Villain submittion:
Dr. Wily (Mega Man)


Dr. Wily is a Villain of Mega Man series and he is the Evil Scientist who reprogrammed Robot Masters to defeat Mega Man. He also is Really Popular Villain in Mega Man universe. He wasn't introduced in any Fighting Game, but he Appeared as Assist Trophy in Smash Ultimate.

He would be Zoner and his playstyle would reference Robot Masters like Block Man or Guts Man. He even could borrow moves from Yellow Devil or even other Bosses. His design would be taken from MM11, but he will act like Eggman from Sonic Fighters, which he could sit in his Mecha based on MM7 (Which is Wily Capsule) and he could attack using Powers from Robots like I said Earlier. He might be also Joke character for This Game.

Albert Wesker



Wesker is a recurring villain in Resident Evil and would be a good pick to represent that series due to his popularity.

Shonen Villain

Blackbeard (One Piece)



Blackbeard can be considered one of the main villains of One Piece, He could bring interesting powers and abilities to the game.

Alcina Dimitrescu (Resident Evil)

One of the main villains from the latest Resident Evil and a character who the internet completely ate up. She would be a slow character but with vicious attacks and would likely summon her daughters in combat. Yes, there is the problem that shes a gaint, but we could could likely work around this.



Himiko Toga (MHA)

A popular character with a great design and a fun personality. Toga would be a fast character with a brutal moveset, making use of her violent personality.

If you guys don't think Dimitrescu could work then I'll swap her out

First up, we need a Capcom villain - so, here's my own suggestion.
Character: Pyron
Series: Darkstalkers (1994)
Abilities: Pyrokinesis, Flight, Bodily Shape Manipulation

Pyron - the final boss of the first Darkstalkers title, as well as Vampire Hunter 2 and being the secret final boss of the crossover game Capcom Fighting Evolution - is an interesting character in this situation, because his own nature - basically being made of fire - means he'd have completely unique animations and a moveset style. As well as the teleports commonly associated with fighting game antagonists, he's interesting as well - mostly due to his high amount of midrange control and his notorious "cheapness" in the Darkstalkers games. Now, this game would likely fix the issues with him - first up, making him significantly taller than his old sprites to really give him a sense of absolute terror would be good, and making him more fair - but still powerful - would be a good pick here.

In closing, Pyron is unusual as he's essentially an absolute bruiser, but being quite lightweight - with surprising aerial and midrange control for a character of his archetype, though this is counterbalanced by significant lag - making him essentially the necessary heavy hitter of the group.

SHONEN
Now, for this slot I'm going to suggest someone pretty weird - an unusual duo team that, by definition, isn't:

Character: Light Yagami (& Ryuk)
Series: Deathnote (2003)
Abilities: Thanatokinesis, High Intelligence, Above-Average Athletic Skill

Is this a bizarre enough pick? Okay, I should probably explain how this moveset would even work.

Light's moveset is primarily based around his use of his intelligence to get the situation just right. As a result, his own moveset is passable - but given he's, well, a normal student despite being the God of the New World, he doesn't have all too much physical strength - though this is counterbalanced by low lag, and a lot of his moves would be based on different things he uses in the actual series, perhaps including the tennis ball and racket from his confrontation with L, or his use of a fountain pen as a very short "knife" that would encourage Light players to perfectly space their attacks for a pretty high-damage sweet-spot.

Notably, though, Light has the main gimmick of Ryuk. Unlike, say, Jotaro - Ryuk isn't some sort of guardian angel for Light, so he's not actually going to be actively controlled by him. Rather, Light has to use his own intelligence to sort of make Ryuk attack opponents - for example, one of his "projectiles" might be him tossing an apple in front of him, that would barely do flinching damage, and be an interactible item. Whilst it seems useless, there's a short delay - and then Ryuk flies/dives right at the apple, happening to deal big damage to anyone in the way in the meantime, but is caught up in a lot of endlag as he eats the apple after catching it.

Lastly, Light's gameplan revolves around his meter. His highest super would have him write down the opponent's name - but far from being an instakill, it actually has an interesting effect. It essentially turns the countdown at the top to a 40 second countdown, in a font similar to that of the Deathnote's own writing - after which time, the opponent will die. There's a catch, however - it can only be activated if Light is both at full meter, and if he's at less than 30% health. (Notably, it also is quite a laggy move where he's quite vulnerable - so a good tech would be tossing an apple to have Ryuk "defend" Light as he writes the name, setting up the final attack.)

Overall, Light's gameplan revolves heavily on the use of clever spacing, and making reads on what your opponent is doing, and what they're going to do - forcing them into situations with the tools you have at your disposal in order to take the win. As a result, Light is actually a difficult character to play, and one I'd imagine would be seen as lower-mid tier - but if you can be intelligent and quick on your feet, you can nail the use of his kit (which, in itself, captures the "cat and mouse" situation that very much defines Deathnote as a whole to many.)

Anyways, these are just my ideas - I wanted to suggest some weirder picks LMAO

Yoshikage Kira is the main antagonist for Part 4 of JoJo's, being a fairly unique villain in that he isn't trying to do a big scheme (like being the ultimate life form), but instead just wanting to live a quiet life where he can kill as many women for their hands to satisfy his unhealthy obsession in peace.

Now, a big question you're most likely asking is "why not DIO, he's Jotaro's nemesis afterall," and the main reason is for Kira is to try something new. There are numerous games where Jotaro can fight DIO but Kira, despite having a lot going for him, is always pushed aside so Jotaro vs. DIO can happen, so why not try something different. Plus Kira was Araki's favorite antagonist and 2nd favorite character overall. Additionally, DIO and Jotaro basically have the same stand, DIO and Jotaro could still fight differently but I think Kira would add more variety in his attacks. Speaking of attacks...

Kira would be be an extremely powerful character who also needs to strategize, so I see him like Jotaro having a stand meter, but Killer Queen would be significantly weaker and slower than Star Platinum. To make up for this, Kira has a great projectile game by doing stuff like tossing a coin (turned to bomb via Bomb Transmutation) and then detonate it, sending out Sheer Heart Attack, Send out air bubble bombs with the help of Stray Cat, basically dude has lots of bombs.

I’ll submit Baroque from Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. It’s a mechanic where you sacrifice red life to temporarily do more damage, and it cancels the combo you’re doing. I feel like it’s not exactly that unique a mechanic but it does the job, and it would be neat to call back to tatsunoko vs capcom.

Man I missed a lot haven't I.

Anyways a neat game mechanic I think would be fun is basically a Grind Grid type system like from Under Night In-Birth. Basically
The Grind Grid is the gauge located in the middle of the bottom of the screen. It is the gauge that indicates the situation of battle using 12 blocks.
In the middle of the meter is another meter called GRD Transfer State It is a ring-shaped timer and when its round is full, the player with the most GRD blocks enters the Vorpal state. Grind Grid resets every round and both players start again with zero GRD blocks.

You gain GRD blocks by walking forward, dashing, hitting with an attack, successful recoveries, blocking, and by using the Concentration.

You lose your GRD when you move backwards, when you take damage, when your attacks are blocked, when the opponent escapes from your throw, and when the opponent uses the Concentration.

Holding down the the heavy attack button activates Concentration in this state the character will gain more GRD blocks. This action at the same time also decreases the amount of opponent's GRD blocks. However using Concentration will leave you wide open, so be careful when to use it.

The player which has the most GRD blocks when the circle in the middle of the meter closes, enters the Vorpal state. During the Vorpal state character gains a blue aura around them and their GRD blocks start to shine. Vorpal state rises the damage you deal by 10% and makes it possible to use the Chain Shift.


Summary of the Chain Shift
Usable only in Vorpal state
Is done by quickly pressing Heavy Attack button twice
You gain Meter depending the amount of GRD you have.
All the movement stops for a small moment you use the Chain Shift
Can be used to cancel your own attacks.

Anyways that's my submission for a game mechanic.

This mechanic is useful for fighting Game like this. It can make your match look dynamic.

I believe the idea he’s submitting is for new characters that are just assists, sort of like how they work in MvC1
After making the post I realized that. My bad

Anyway. My submission:

Dragon Balls

They would work pretty much like how they do in DBFZ. You collect them by doing certain combos, collecting all them summons Shenron to grant a wish, such as bringing back a teammate or resotring health.

For this job I’d like you to submit a stage for the two series that we had at the beginning: Naruto and Mega Man. Please submit the location, cameos, and explain why you think it would make a good stage.

Also, I have a question I would like you to answer along with your submission: would you be interested in doing hyper combos/special moves for the characters? If we did, we would have jobs for all newcomers we added and then you would be able to submit moves along with newcomers

Valley of the End (Naruto)
Takes place on a platform in front of the waterfall with the statues to each side in the background. This stage has dynamic weather and a day/night cycle. Various major characters from the series can be spotted standing on the statues and rocks and watching the battle.

Mega Man stage: Central Highway
An iconic location from the first Mega Man X game, being the very first stage in the game, which makes it a logical choice for a Mega Man stage to go along with X as our Mega Man rep.
What you see in the image is basically what you get. Vile is observing the action in the background

Hokage Rock



This stage is on some cliffs in a position far away but in front of Hokage Rock (Much Like The Picture) and the cameos include the Past Hokage including the dead ones.

Mega Man

Dr. Light's Laboratory



This is a semi-reocurring location in the games

The appearance would be taken directly from the game, The background would have Auto, Rush, Eddie, Beat, Tango and Dr. Light. And Rarely, Dr. Wily and a random robot Master would break in.

A lot of people have already picked the stages I would pick except one, Sigma Palace. Sigma is a very important character in Megaman X and his stage where you fight the evil robot is no different, I would imagine a lot of Megaman X characters would appear as Cameos in the stage.

Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo)

Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is from an absolutely ridiculous series that defies description. It starts out as a parody of Fist of the North Star, with Bo-bobo fighting the forces of the Bald Empire by using Hanage Shinken/Fist of the Nose Hair, but things go off the rails into pure nonsense quickly.


Jump has a long history of comedy series, with authors like Akira Toriyama getting their start in the genre, and Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is probably the weirdest of the bunch. Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo himself is basically a Looney Tune, so anything goes as far as a moveset is concerned - using his own allies as weapons, summoning Yugi Muto from Yu-Gi-Oh out of his afro, chopping someone in the armpit, just firing guns, having a lion maul his enemies, making flowers bloom on his opponent...

(his name can just be written as Bo-bobo, but I figured I'd write out the whole thing for the sheer ridiculousness of it)



Amaterasu (Okami)

The main protagonist of Okami, and the Japanese goddess of the sun, Amaterasu roams Japan solving problems for its inhabitants and defeating a variety of evil spirits and beasts. Amaterasu, or Ammy for short, fights using a variety of weapons along with the Celestial Brush, which lets her draw shapes to change the world around her.

Okami's one of those cult classic games that didn't sell well at first but has an extremely dedicated fanbase, and Amaterasu's been playable in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 so there's clearly a base to work with as far as a fighting game appearance is concerned.


Plus, the game looks absolutely gorgeous, which would carry over to any hypothetical stages.

My submissions:
Shonen Jump: Hiei

Yes, Hiei before Yusuke. Hiei is one of the main characters from YuYu Hakusho and is probably the most popular out of all the characters. Given his popular status and the influence of his series yuyu hakusho, I think he would be a great choice and picking him would show that we don’t always pick main characters first.

He would fight with darkness flames and other techniques he’s been shown doing in the series. I imagine his attacks would be pretty slow and heavy although he would be very fast.

Capcom: Monster Hunter

What’s there even to be said? Monster Hunter is a huge series you can’t deny the scope and importance of, and considering how huge the series is it surprisingly hasn’t been in that many crossovers. Anyways she would fight like she does in MvC Infininte, with heavy attacks and traps.

Shonen Jump: Killua Zoldyck (Hunter × Hunter)

Killua is the deuteragonist of Hunter × Hunter. He's arguably more popular than his best friend and the protagonist, Gon, and has a more unique set of powers - due to being raised in a family of assassins, he has many techniques that would distinguish him from the rest of the cast, such as being able to sharpen his fingernails (to the point he can rip a person's heart out), shadow stepping, and the ability to turn his arms into whips, as well as a pair of yo-yos that pack a serious punch made by his brother Milluki. He's also immune to poison and electricity, the latter which plays into his nen ability as he's able to "charge" himself with electricity and attack with it. This includes his iconic "godspeed" transformation which increases his speed.

Like Champion of Hyrule Champion of Hyrule 's submission, Killua being added before Gon would prove that we don't neccesarily need to add the main character first (also coincidentally, Killua was modeled after Hiei and they share a creator).

Nothing from Capcom unfortunately, the only Capcom series I played are ones that are already on the roster.

He's literally a superhero. He would have a lot of fun interactions with these iconic anime heroes (and villains.). He also looks pretty different to most of our cast, which is a plus.


Satoru Gojo
Jujutsu Kaisen is one of Jump's biggest recent successes, and Gojo is by far one of the most popular characters. He could have a really creative moveset that makes use of his abilities as a Jujutsu Sorcerer.

Black Clover is a very popular series. There are a lot of people who would really like to see Asta in a Epic 2D Crossover Fighter. His moveset would be easy to pull off and he could have a unique gimmick involving Anti-Magic.

Because Power Stone is fun, Also Edward comes from a 3D fighter which most Shonen Jump characters have been in!

I nominate him, because he could represent his Series: Dead Rising. Also, he can use random stuff from Dead Rising series like Guns or etc. Even tho, he could bring action to game like if Frank imagined that his Enemies are Zombies, who try to fight him.
