  • What's up man! So, I've been playing other games lately. Mostly SWTOR. I know people said it sucks and all that or it's not that good but I find it nice and I've been playing that for a month now. Oh and I really don't care if Toad does not get in. Don't tell anyone lol D:

    Still supporting him haha
Well, there was a gamecube + melee in my dorm lounge, even one or two tournaments. So I still played tons of that. And the last few months there was project M, which is also amazing. I was talking about vanilla brawl, yeah.
Yeah, I stopped playing for a bit myself for a while too, I didn't get into brawl as much as I hoped I would. However, I'm a fanboy to the end, so I couldn't stay away when Sm4sh was announced xD
Looking around, it seems the old friends list is now the 'following' list. I'll still try to re add erryone though, I think xD

(this is depressing, like half of them haven't even logged in like 5 years @.@)
I was pretty sure we were already friends @.@

Smashboards ain't tellin' me who I'm friends with!
That's a fair enough assessment. Truth be told, though I'll of course purchase both, the 3DS version sometimes just slips my mind. I by no means believe the focus will be on newcomers, because that's something to be gradually revealed, but the suspense is all the more ample to see what the direct will bring.

Is that how dense people are this time around, expecting someone such as Bowser to be cut?
Two new characters to be revealed around E3? I myself was thinking 3, Shulk being one (though I haven't put too much thought into who exactly the other two would be). What do you think about characters like Mewtwo and Impa (possible Sheik replacement), who wouldn't necessarily be "new"? I wouldn't be completely surprised if they threw them into the E3 reveal, though I don't necessarily believe they will.
Mmm? I myself actually believe Shulk will be one of the reveal characters (bias to Xenoblade Chronicles plays a small part here), and K. Rool will come later down the line (in some kind of Dojo-esque update).

The flood of new members is inevitable with a new title in the series; There will always be the veteran members that come around for times such as these, though, yourself and I included. Ha ha.
By the time these E3 reveals come around in a couple of weeks, I'd like to think the boards will certainly start to get more hectic.

As far as character rosters go, I haven't given it too much personal thought, although I do check up on roster predictions every so often. I'd have to say my personal most wanted characters would have to be Shulk and K. Rool.
John, my friend! It's been quite a while, hasn't it? I see that you've been quite active in the Sm4sh related threads. Naturally, I've been around the boards a little more often, due to the upcoming news in the near future and what-have-you. Just waiting for Shulk to be announced. Ha ha.
Well, I only added or was added so people could communicate with me via wall posts since I never really checked PMs. Any registered user can leave a message on my profile now that I made the changes so that kind of eliminates the need to add people. *Shrugs*
Those darn immigrants, fighting for a country they weren't even born in. The nerve, amirite? lol
Ah well, you can always fight for us eight. Or however many friends you currently have. :p
Truth, justice, and the American way? You are secretly Superman, right?
I miss the groups the most, I hope they come back soon. :(
I know, I lost all my friends! :(
I guess they weren't that important though, considering I haven't added them back. lol jk
Ofc my other friendships weren't due to Science. haha
Abrams has his hands in so many things right now. Can he take on more? If he did get in bed with Halo man you don't even know!
    D
Uhm... Twas the system keeping us down man. Us bros gotta unite brah. Fight the POWAH!
Like, I've dropped so many hints and people still haven't called me out on being a guy. I guess people just really wanna believe, haha.
If there's anything I've gotten out of this experience is that this forum's user base is at least cool and mature enough to think "oh cool; a girl" and carry on.
I watched it the last 3 nights too just not for the first time =p. I found it about a month ago and went through both seasons already. If halo is anything like it (good story/comparatively good effects) i'm excited.
    D
Great to see that you're back.

You should check out the Mega Man thread. I'm the new OP and changed it dramatically. I have big plans for it.
I was probably just too intimidated by the highly skilled use of smilies by ~His Knightlyness Himself~;)

I definitely could scrap up the money, come November, but as I've said, there just isn't enough to warrant a "launch-purchase" for me. Now, considering some incredible titles are announced at Nintendo's conference (which I've heard to be in September; Any truth to that?), they would be coming in 2013 at the earliest, so it would make little difference.

As far as wanting to hear anything Zelda HD related for the Wii U, you've reserved my hopes for a "yes", come September'ish. El oh el. Anything Zelda related, really. And SSB4 wouldn't hurt, of course. . . Nor would any future titles worth mentioning for the 3DS.

Speaking of Zelda, Nintendo has confirmed to be in development on a brand new title for the 3DS, and if you've been following, this discussion on whether to re-make Majora's Mask, or to make A Link to the Past 2. I for one can't really choose, being such a huge Zelda fan. Majora's Mask, in my opinion, NEEDS to be remade. It just has to. And then upon hearing about this A Link to the Past 2 business, I wouldn't mind that, either. If we really could only get one though, I can't make that decision.

I don't think anyone would oppose a game where Samus goes against the Galactic Federation, but. . . The 100% ending of Metroid Prime 3 still makes me feel like that story may not be quite finished yet. Regardless, we all would love to see Metroid HD, and I'm sure Nintendo realizes that.

Now bear with me, as I haven't been up-to-date with information lately, but I've heard rumors that Nintendo is trying to get Rare back in their grasps. I'm normally not one to hold to rumors, but I heard about a month or two ago that Retro Studios is secretly developing a new Banjo title as well. To cut to the chase, do you know if there's any truth behind this?

In addition to Ike being hideous, they have made Marth slightly more feminine this time around as well. You gotta love it though, right? El oh el! It really does look to be the best Fire Emblem game yet, though. No doubt.

I've been saying that the Wii U will be priced at about $350 on launch. Being Nintendo, I suppose it's possible to get a lucky $300 launch as well, but who knows? Regardless, I'm delaying (at minimum) 3 months before I purchase the Wii U. As I've stated before, the lineup isn't (personally) strong enough for me to drop that kind of money at once.

Mmm. Is Nintendo supposed to be having some kind of press conference of the sort in the fall (about the Wii U)? If so, that's news to me, although, Nintendo is known to shrug the Tokyo Game Show aside, and have their own little showcase in the month towards it. Zelda Wii U / SSB4 having anything shown this year would make my heart melt. I'm really pushing for Zelda Wii U to take the realistic approach this time around, as Twilight Princess did. This is Nintendo's powerhouse console, and The Legend of Zelda is their powerhouse game; Save the HD cartoon'ish graphics for whatever big Mario title is inevitably in the making (I really don't count SMB:U), and make Zelda realistic. And I don't think I need to say that everyone would love to see a brand new Metroid title in HD, with online play similar to the DS title.
You're absolutely right about the obscurity thing which is why they need to release a powerstone 3.

Castlevania 3DS does look slick. Hmmm fine whatever konami can have 3 reps >_<

You forgot a funkshunal online service. THEN smash can be complete.

My friend; I now have a new-found support for Roy. I decided to do some studying on the new Fire Emblem: Awakening game (which by the way looks amazing!), and have found that Marth, Ike and Roy will be incorporated DLC characters. Whether it bears great logic or not, that has given me the incentive of hope for his return to SSB4. Are we possibly looking at Marth, Roy, Krom and Ike? I certainly wouldn't mind.

Mmm. While I do agree that the Wii U's lineup (as opposed to the GCN and the Wii) is much stronger, but. . . Personally, I can't say Pikmin 3 / Zombi U / New Super Mario Bros. Mii (etc.) are strong enough titles for me to want the console at launch (Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is interesting, though); And don't get me wrong, I'm a loyal Nintendo fan, owning all of the major consoles and handhelds to date, and I will most definitely be getting a Wii U, just likely around 3 months later. . . For the inevitable price drop. El oh el.

Admittingly, I haven't been keeping up with the Wii U's technical aspects lately, but to hear you say that it's possibly four times more powerful than the PS3. . . Incredible. If that's something unconfirmed, then by all means, I hope it is true. I'm really waiting for Nintendo to just unveil the "big stuff", if you know what I mean. This console has much promise, we just need the games!
Nah if we get a capcom rep it'll definetly be from the power stone series because I said so and that's the bottom line =]. But we all know konami'll get a 2nd rep (bomberman) before any other 3rd party gets a rep. :awesome:

Lol at this rate smash won't only be a battle of nintendo all stars but also a lovechild of developer all stars.
But but you said capcom too and capcom never developed smash...

Yea, no I meant retro should help with the single player because that played more like a platformer than a fighter and like you said dkcr was done so well. And also like you said they could put together a more cohesive story.
Yo Johnknight my man wassup!? you should hang in the ridley for brawl thread sometime, it's civil this smash iteration!
    :link:
I'll be blunt, I really don't care if Roy returns or not, but I'm all for the return of Mewtwo.

For a moment, let's talk about the Wii U. . . What do you think of it? I for one refuse to purchase it on launch date. Rather, I'll just wait 3 months for the inevitable price drop, just like every other Nintendo console, because they don't have a promising enough lineup (Sorry, but Pikmin 3 / Zombi U doesn't cut it). I also worry for the future of console itself; We don't exactly know how powerful it is (or at least I don't). That being said, I doubt it will be able to support the new Unreal Engine 4 graphics engine, whereas the 720 / PS4 will. I've been thinking, wouldn't that effect future third party support?
You have seen the light, my friend!

We should have both IMO. The latter like you said would be so fitting but I also love smash mechanics. Now just forward the ideas to sakurai and capcom =]

    Awesome!
