How to use Duckhunt's move set properly.

[guide work in progress btw...]

Duckhunt is perhaps one of the best fighters available as there utility based fighting style can be used in many different ways, including camping game, offensive, and defensive. Many players underestimate them, but this guide will show you how powerful these two can be. Remember, this guide is intended not only for beginners, but experienced players too! I recommend you skip onto the techniques/strategy section of this guide if you already now Duckhunt's basic attacks and stuff. I will also include a section covering how much damage moves do.

So, now then, before I get on to play styles, you need to know his basic move set and techniques in order to play properly. You can't just throw your discus around like an idiot ( trust me, I seen many players do this in For Glory mode ). So lets go over his standard attacks that you will need to know. Gather around class.

Standard Attack (A button x3)
standardcombo.png

Duck hunt's standard attack will do a small amount of damage, but upon completing the whole combo while next to an opponent, the duck will constantly jab at the opponent as long as you continue to tap the A button. If you stop tapping A button, the duck will deliver a finishing blow that can actually knock opponents quite far. Try to keep them in the combo for as long as you can before they get out of the hit box.
(Remember, as you jab your opponent, they will slowly move out the hit box!)

Directional Moves

Depending on witch direction you attack in, you will use the following moves, witch I will gladly explain to you each one. The first one is your forward Attack. It will knock your opponent a bit farther if you do it while running, but if you use it while walking at normal speed they wont go far, this move is good for opening up
combos.

(It's best to use this move when your opponent is getting back on the stage)
the next one is your forward air, this is one of my favorite moves as it allows your to keep your opponent of the stage, this is your forward air attack. You can also use it many times in the air witch is why I love it so much. It also works in both left and right directions while in the air, this can come in handy when getting back on the stage as you can use it in the opposite direction and punish your opponent.
(Try to use this move as many times as you can while off-stage)
Then next one is very simple, duckhunt does a kick when using attack button in the down direction. It doesn't really affect your opponent in any way, but you can kick your bombs towards your opponent with it. We'll get to bombs later.
(You can also use this to change the direction your bomb will pop up)
The final one is actually his up tilt, this will send your opponent into the air and open up combos, I recommend after using this move, do an up air, this will allow to juggle your opponent in the air if done right.
(Not only is this good for racking damage, but it's also a good killing move too!)
Oh yeah, I forgot to add 1 more thing, Duckhunt also has a down air move that's pretty good in off-stage battles, you can knock your opponent downwards pretty far if done right, but it will cause you to move down pretty fast too.

DuckHunt's projectiles! (and gunmen/cowboys)

The following moves are very important key when it comes to playing Duckhunt, in fact, without them, you will loose a lot of advantages over your opponent, so use them as often as you can.

1. Duckhunt's bomb can thing! (I'l just call it a bomb...), but anyways, this will be your best friend in many situations no matter what style you play, to use all projectiles, press the B button, you will use each move depending on the direction you press B. For the bomb, simply press B while standing still and you will kick it into the air, but it wont go far. Continue to tap B in order to keep it in the air, try to knock it into your opponent, they will blast away and take quite a lot of damage. You can alter how fast you tap B to reach your opponent if you want.

2. The discus! This will also be your best friend no matter what style you play. Remember, all moves are essential to any play style, its just how you use them. To do this move, press B in the direction you'r moving in. Pressing B while the discus is still in the air (or on the stage) will make the cowboy guys shoot it. Press B as soon as it reaches your target. If you'd like, you can also let it hit your target and then press B to do a bit more damage, this strategy works well at close range, but I wouldn't recommend waiting for it to hit your target first at long range.

3. The gunmen! These pixelated cow-boy looking guys will stand still and fire in the direction you summon them in. You can summon them by pressing B and holding down. They come in handy in situations where you want to space out your opponent, however they can be killed, so don't use them too close, you will be vulnerable to attacks while Duckhunt does the animation for summoning them, so you can get hit if your opponent dodges the bullet fast enough.

Here's all the moves in Duckhunts standard move set. Use each and every one of them to your advantage, especially your projectiles. Then next topic we will be going over is, when is the right time to use your smash attacks, so stay tuned.

Well this is a really poor guide, but for being your first time is really impressive how organized it is, so I will wait until you complete it (Sorry for my bad English)
As stated before; it needs more information.
There are A LOT of mistakes
also The move analysis mistakes a dash attack for an F tilt
Maybe you should compete this before posting?

Yeah, that was just a silly mistake, sorry bout that. It's been updated much more now.
What guide? There is no guide, at least not right now. If you publish a guide, make sure you actually publish it, and not wait to copy and paste what you have later.
