Body, Heart and Sword of Steel - A Link Guide

Body, Heart and Sword of Steel - A Link Guide

so thorough... love it!
Excellent guide, very thorough and helpful! One thing I disagree with you on, and this is probably just me, is that Link is very hard to play at a high level. He's been a secondary of mine ever since brawl I think I can do decent with him but what really kills me is that I struggle with his combos and advanced techniques. Did you think the advanced techniques and combos are hard to perform when you started out as well? All in all, it is still probably the best or at least one of the best Link guides out there!

Yes, understanding and learning his advanced techs was quite difficult for me at first. Even harder to perfect in the heat of a battle. It's all about hammering away at it and keep trying until it becomes second nature.
Amazing guide! Perfect for new Link mains to understand while describing advanced techs for more skilled players to learn. I found this guide very helpful for me being a new Link main myself.
Really good guide! I'm trying to up my Link game, and this is definitely gonna help! Thanks :)
Thank you for the guide. I can't wait for the diddy mu.
Awesome link guide i'm excited to read more about the other MU info
This guide was SOOO helpful! I've been needing some new thigns to do in my weeklies to improve and I think I founds just th things to do! This was fantastic!
Great guide. Looking forward to using these techniques. Of note, you mention 2-jab combos often but I didn't see any mention of how to jab cancel. Thanks again for the guide.

It's a case of timing. Every character has a certain window where they can act out of their jab 1/2 without completing the whole thing. Mewtwo's quick single jab is a good example. Finding the window to act out of Link's second jab without completing the full jab isn't too hard.
Looking forward to putting this in to practise in the near future
I don't play link but this guide is well put together ;)
This is god-like work. You put A LOT of effort in this, and the result is simple but incredibly useful and well-organized. Great job!
Some of these things are completely unknown to me and I do lots of research on link. Thanks
Excellent guide. It is informative enough for the good players and still simple enough for us scrubs.
Great and easy to understand! Although could you define 'staling' for me? I couldn't find a definition on here, and the term confused me wherever I found it!

Staling is an effect in Brawl and Smash 4. When you use an attack consistently, it starts to do less damage and knock back. After every 10 attacks you perform, the "staled" attack will un-stale.

Great stuff
Very Nice! Good detail and information. As a Link main you deserve a thumbs up!
You forgot the frame data for up special third hit, or it might've been up smash. Can't remember, but this is a very well organized and accurate guide! Great job!

Thanks for pointing that out! I didn't even realize that I forgot to include the frame data on the 3rd hit of Up-B. All fixed up now!
Combos, MUs, HYLIAN SHIELD TECH bomb setups? This guide is really well put together.
