So I was playing today against my friend's puff and I jabbed him. But when I tried getting the dash grab follow-up, he was able to just jump away before landing. Would anyone happen to know which other characters can jump out of jab->grab?

Congrats! You'll get 'em next time. Desyncs are such a pain at times. I actually just went to my first local a few weeks ago. It was a 38-man tourney and I tied for 13th. Hopefully I can just keep improving.
