    What if....Smash were a M-Rated game?

Would peeps who aren't 17 or older still play it? Given that no one really pays attention to those age-labels these days (I am old enough to remember the days where you had to show an ID to buy an M-Rated game), and retailers are fine as long as you pay up, and Smash's popularity, a M-Rated...

Why the frustrated shouldn't get ridiculed

I've always thought a Ganoncide or a Bowsercide either way should have led to a tie, or no contest, unless of course the opponent performing the action has both stocks. But I get what you're saying. Since we don't know who is on the other way, you don't know whether or not that person on the...

Why the frustrated shouldn't get ridiculed

When I say "Cheap," its not that I am upset or frustrated, its because I'm calling out your play. For example, if you are in a Free For All in FG, it comes to a sudden death match, and your opponent SD's themselves, that was a cheap win. Pathetic on behalf of the opponent who SD'd, and cheap on...

Smash Bros and the Act of Telepathy

It is the trait that separates the weak and the meek from the champions. Before you think this is hot air, bear with me. You hear all the time about "reading your opponent" or "conditioning your opponent," using very select words to describe the competitive side of Smash Bros. What fellow...

Fox Update (and what Fox could use to make him better)

There's a great word when people talking about "conditioning" or "reading" your opponent that comes to mind, and that is the word, "telepathy." The definition of telepathy is "the supposed communication of thoughts or ideas by means other than the known senses." And that is what peeps in the...

Fox Update (and what Fox could use to make him better)

The first time I heard the term, "Muscle Memory" was in getting my leg on a drum kit to act as a separate entity, simultaneously. I practice on a daily basis when I can, and I lose to peeps in For Fun (what a misnomer) if that tells you anything.

You lost me on that one.

Looking for an article about mental issues and Smash.

I don't think you could find any one article, unless it's a opinion/editorial piece with a one-person viewpoint. I think Smash can possibly make one more introverted, mainly because one can have the tendency to play alone, privately, in hope of getting better and increasing their win rate. A...

Is a Smash Hell ban automated? How about getting kicked for targeting one player?

I've been disconnected for "repeatedly targeting another player," although I think that's a "Uncle Crying" response if anything. A bit pathetic too be disconnected for imho. I don't really understand the whole "Smash Hell" thing outside some sketchy Facebook groups.

Adminisering a doe of reality to Smash Bros

Wow, I just noticed the typo in the title. Punishes can come from just about anything really, I guess Donkey Kong would be a better example than Mario, since Donkey Kong can actually roll. 5% of damage added for each 2 seconds the character is on fire seems fair. While Smash could be placed in...

Why the frustrated shouldn't get ridiculed

If I respond to anything, I'll normally put "Grow Up" in the handle. As much as I might feel like saying it sometimes, I won't attack someone with a racial slur or profane gesture. Sure I get irritated myself, if I think the win was cheap or weak, I;ll let that opponent know their victory was...

Adminisering a doe of reality to Smash Bros

Recent Smash discussion has gotten me wondering what it would be like if realistic elements were implemented to the game. For example, - Fox falls the fastest, whereas Yoshi is more "floaty." In reality, since Yoshi is heavier, and Fox is lighter, Yoshi would fall faster. It's how gravity...

The stage that bugs you the most

I have many, but I shoot out just one. Skyworld. It's so easy to fall off even KO yourself on that stage because of the openness, and breakable platforms. I can't begin to ell you how many times I have ground pounded and fallen off that stage.

What video game franchise would you want to live in if you had the chance?

Easy. Star Fox. The best part would be if I could be Fox himself.

Why the frustrated shouldn't get ridiculed

Maybe you get insulted - maybe a racial slur or the f-bomb slips in the handle. Then maybe, just maybe, you came back with some derogatory, inflammatory, immature response like "U Mad Bro,"" "Ur Salty" or "Git Gud" followed by "LOL" or something quick to irritate. While ******** on both sides...
